PALETO, DECEMBER 13 2025 – A press release from the office of the Head Ranger:
On November 30th 2025, I was nominated by Governor Jeremy Barbant for the position of Head Ranger of the San Andreas Parks Department. On December 6th 2025, the State Representatives unanimously approved that nomination.
Today, on December 13th 2025, I was officially sworn in as the third Head Ranger that San Andreas has ever seen.
My journey with the department began on October 12th 2022, and for the past year, since January 20th 2025, I have had the privilege of serving as Deputy Head Ranger under Charlie J. Morgan. I can say with complete honesty that I would not be standing here today without him. His mentorship, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the Parks Department have shaped not just my growth, but the future of our entire team.
I want to express my gratitude to those who built this department into what it is; every former Ranger, Parks Employee, and Groundskeeper, and the incredible people who shaped our history long before I joined. Their hard work created the foundation that I’m now honoured to continue building upon.
To my current team, thank you. Your support, your passion, and your dedication inspire me every day. I also want to acknowledge the people who have supported me personally; my close friends, my family, and my husband, who has been with me from the very start. Your encouragement has carried me through every challenge and every milestone.
Stepping into this position is not something I take lightly. I know I have big boots to fill, but I am deeply honoured to have been entrusted with this role, and I look forward to continuing to build the Parks Department on the values that define us: Integrity, Respect, Honesty, Courage, Teamwork, and Accountability.
I am eager to continue to strengthen our collaboration with other departments, and to work closely with the Governor and his team as we expand our public outreach and enhance the services we provide to the people of San Andreas.
The future of the San Andreas Parks Department is bright, and I cannot wait to see what we will accomplish together. With the dedication of our Rangers, Parks Employees, and Groundskeepers; the support of everyone around us; and the passion of every single member of the community who calls the wilderness our home, I am confident we will continue to grow and uphold the legacy that has been entrusted to us.
I’m excited, humbled, and ready to get to work.
Sincerely,
Vivian Chopper
Head Ranger
San Andreas Parks Department
