Our mission is to foster a responsible and harmonious relationship between people, pets, and wildlife in our community. By providing comprehensive care, including veterinary services, nutrition, and shelter, we ensure the well-being of animals in our Parks while enforcing cruelty prevention policies and prioritizing wildlife conservation. We educate the public on responsible pet ownership, wildlife safety, and local ecosystems, and implement programs for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. Additionally, we facilitate the adoption of rescued animals to the residents of San Andreas.

Laws outlining animal welfare can be found in Section 9 of H.R. 324 – The Wildlife and Environmental Protection Act. In addition, our internal policies for pet adoptions can be found outlined below.

How to Adopt a Pet

Notice: Pet adoptions are currently closed.

We will accept applications as soon as more animals become available. Please be aware that not all applicants will be successful, as placements are determined on a first-come, first-served basis.

Step 1

Apply for animal via the pet adoption application and a background check is conducted by SAPD.

Step 2

If you pass the background check, a member of SAPD will contact you via government email to arrange a premises check for the property you want to house your animal.

We may also organise a meeting with your preferred animal to make sure it’s a perfect match!

Step 3

If you pass the background check and the premises check then we will ask you to sign a pet adoption agreement.

Once this has been signed then arrangements will be made with our team at PAW farm to bring your new animal down to you!

Pet Adoption Policies

HR 324, Section 9 determines pet adoption guidelines. In order to obtain a large pet in the state of San Andreas you must either be a primary owner of a residence, holder of a commercial property lease, head of a government department who controls a premises, or received written permission from the owner / lessee of a property.

The SAPD also have their own internal policies and reserve the right to deny applications for any reason should any complications arise during the application process.

Please be aware that you can only have a maximum of 2 animals per household / business / social club.

Anyone who applies MUST agree to a background check otherwise the application will be denied.

Applicants must never have been convicted of any of the following:

  • Animal Cruelty
  • Declawing & Docking
  • Poaching
  • Possession of Protected Animals Pelt/Meat

Applicants must not have been convicted of ANY of the following in the last 30 days:

  • Disturbing Wildlife
  • Hunting Outside of Designated Hunting Grounds
  • Hunting Without a License
  • Fishing Without a License
  • Hunting in a State Park or Conservation Zone
  • Hunting with a Sidearm

Applicants must not have ANY violent felony charges in the last 14 days.

Applicants must also be one of the following:

  • Primary Owner of a residence. Proof will need to be provided.
  • Holder of a commercial property lease, or a nominated person for the associated business. Proof will need to be provided.
  • Head of a Government department that controls a premises.
  • Received written permission from the owner/lessee of a property. Proof will need to be provided.

Pet Adoption Application

When applying for your animal, you can choose from the available animals on our brochure for your preferred pet. Based on the information provided in the accepted application, PAW will match the applicant with a suitable animal available for adoption. The applicant will be able to put in a preference for animals either at the time of application or at a later date.
